General Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years as Chief Electrician or Maintenance Supervisor (standalone) on a 2000HP drilling rig.
• Prior work Experience with OEM (CAT /NOV/ ABB/ Siemens) a plus.
• OEM training and certification considered a plus.
• Proven hands-on skills & experience in Inspection/ Maintenance / Overhaul of Drilling and Power Generation Equipment.
• Strong trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, O&M manuals and technical codes (API, ANSI, IEC etc).
• Hands on experience in the use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems, spare parts management.
• Proven Experience in planning and execution of major equipment overhauls.
• Familiar with Management of Change, Equipment Failure investigation & reporting.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance of Generators (CAT, KATO, GE), Drilling Motors (GE752), SCR Control System (GE MicroDrill, IPS, M&I)
• Hands-on experience in inspection, maintenance of Switchgear (Breakers, Fuse etc), industrial lighting, ventilation.
• Hands on experience in working with Explosion Proof Equipment (EX), industrial wiring and HVAC.
• Familiarity with the use of electrical testing tools and test procedures.
• Experience with PLC’s and automation is a plus.
• Able to prepare hand sketches and propose modifications to equipment and systems.
• Able to delegate and manage a crew of junior Maintenance Personnel.
